Queen Quotes
One word, several very different crowns.
These queen quotes drift between very different meanings of the word — a gothic film franchise, a royal figure used as historical shorthand, and someone's playful ambition to be crowned queen of their own industry. The band Queen even makes an appearance, alongside King quotes as its natural counterpart.

If I hadn't been a woman, I'd be a drag queen for sure. I like all that flair and I'd be dressing up in them high heels and putting on the big hair. I'd be like Ru Paul.

I found a 'lost' manuscript called the Book of Soyga that had once belonged to Queen Elizabeth I's court astrologer, John Dee, in Oxford's Bodleian Library. Everybody thought it was the missing key to Dee's interest in magic. Of course, it wasn't really lost. It was there, in the catalog.

The BBC sports department when I was there was seriously to the right of Ghengis Khan, and if people think I am strange, they should have met some of the production staff I worked with. Margaret Thatcher and the Queen were the pin up girls for many of them.
