Failure Quotes
What failure costs, and what it sometimes forces.

One entry reflects on a major historical intelligence failure. See Fear for what often sits just behind failure.

I have self-doubt. I have insecurity. I have fear of failure. I have nights when I show up at the arena and I'm like, 'My back hurts, my feet hurt, my knees hurt. I don't have it. I just want to chill.' We all have self-doubt. You don't deny it, but you also don't capitulate to it. You embrace it.

In addition to being an economic security issue, the failure to pay women a salary that's equal to men for equal work is also a women's health issue. I've had many failures in terms of technological... business... and even research failures. I really believe that entrepreneurship is about being able to face failure, manage failure and succeed after failing.

There is no failure except in no longer trying. There is no defeat except from within, no really insurmountable barrier save our own inherent weakness of purpose.
