Making the case for evidence over assumption.

These quotes take empirical reasoning seriously as a standard - one arguing that even commonsense claims are only Able to count as knowledge once they've survived systematic verification, another insisting a theory's predictions must match what we actually observe.


The sharpest example applies that standard to a live debate, arguing it's empirically unsustainable - and insulting to the world's overwhelmingly non-violent Muslim population - to treat ISIS as representative of Islam.
