Jonah Chapter 2 – Jonah's Prayer in the Deep
From inside the fish, Jonah turns his despair into a prayer of thanksgiving.
Continuing directly from the storm of Jonah 1, this chapter is entirely Jonah's prayer from "the fish's belly," describing being cast into the deep with weeds "wrapped about my head" and the earth's bars closing around him.
約拿 在魚 腹中 禱告 耶和華─他的 神，
說：我 遭遇患難 求告 耶和華，你就應允我；從陰間 的深處 呼求，你就俯聽 我的聲音。
你將我投 下深淵，就是海 的深處；大水 環繞我，你的波浪 洪濤 都 漫過 我身。
我 說：我從你眼 前 雖被驅逐， 我仍要 仰望 你的聖 殿。
諸水 環繞我，幾乎淹沒我；深淵 圍住我；海草 纏繞 我的頭。
我下到 山 根，地 的門 將我永遠 關住。耶和華─我的 神啊，你卻將我的性命 從坑中 救出來。
我心 在我裡面 發昏的時候，我就想念 耶和華。我的禱告 進 入 你的聖 殿，達到你的面前。
那信奉 虛無之神的人，離棄 憐愛他們的主；
但我 必用感謝 的聲音 獻祭 與你。我所 許的願，我必償還。救恩 出於耶和華。
耶和華 吩咐 魚，魚就把 約拿 吐 在 旱地上。
